  2. Golf Course Neighborhoods

Since Augusta Georgia is known for one of the most affluent Golf Courses in the world as the Augusta national and its  masters golf tournament it's possible there may be a few people interested in  golf course communities.  There are several Augusta area neighborhoods that have golf courses in which residents can play depending on public, semi-private or private courses. Below you can find homes that are in golf course communities in the cities of Augusta, Martinez, Evans and Grovetown. While there are numerous Augusta Georgia Golf Courses in the Augusta Georgia area, the listed golf courses are directly associated with a neighborhood you may choose to live.  Outlined below are golf courses depending on their membership requirements to play.

Public Courses: A public golf course is one that is open to the general public. Everyone who plays golf is welcome at a public golf course. Within the public category, there are two main sub-types - the municipal course and the daily fee course.

Semi-Private Courses: A semi-private course is one that both sells memberships and allows non-members to play. Those purchasing memberships might receive preferential tees times and discounted green fees, or access to other club amenities or perks.

Private Course: A "private course" is a golf course that is open to members only. Country clubs are private golf courses - you must join the club to have full access to the golf course. Most private golf courses, however, do allow non-members to play as guests of members. The cost to join a private golf course varies widely and can be more affordable than you might guess. But at the other end of the scale, the most private and luxurious of private golf courses can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to join.
