Green Jacket Salad
The recipe is an Augusta tradition and comes from the famed Green Jacket restaurant originally located directly across from Augusta National Golf Club. Sadly, the restaurant is no longer there.
Iceberg or Romain Lettuce
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1 Roma tomato, diced
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3 chopped green onion w top
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Pita bread, split in half, toast and break into bite-size pieces.
Combine oil, vinegar, seasoned salt and oregano in a wooden salad bowl. Mix and add green onion, tomato and parsley. Place greens and Pita bread and toss until well-coated.
Add Parmesan cheese for garnish
